Founder

The birth and first two years of Glocal Factory's life were largely determined by Roberta Morosillo's commitment and creativity. A graduate in Political Science, with her first experience in cooperation in Morocco, she became one of the best project managers in the field of development education. Unfortunately, on February 8, 2017 Roberta suffered a serious brain injury due to an aneurysm. Today our colleague and co-founder is facing a period of rehabilitation. Every day our thoughts and best wishes accompany her recovery.

After completing higher education, together with youth volunteering, I earned a master's degree in Philosophical Sciences at the University of Verona and a master's degree in Design of European Projects from the Venice International University. At Glocal Factory I began focusing on youth inclusion, addressing unease and isolation. Over time, I have worked on migration, entrepreneurship and education both as a designer and a project developer. I still continue to volunteer in Verona, particularly in education and inclusion. Central to my commitment is the passion for cultural engagement, within both the local and the global spheres, alongside my dedication to fostering genuine inclusion for marginalized groups.

As a psychologist of education and systemic individual and family psychotherapist, over a period of 25 years, I have supported individuals, families, and communities. My work spans prevention and treatment of drug abuse in schools, fostering mental health to troubled adults, and providing training to various groups. For the past 12 years, I have served as a content expert on European projects, focusing on mental health challenges, prevention, disability, and empowerment. My Greek identity, my international studies and work experience, as well as my marriage to an Italian allowed me to get in touch and collaborate on Glocal Factory’s European projects. Indeed, it is the real values and spirit of its founder and its members that keeps me closely attached to Glocal Factory’s mission and achievements.

After my bachelor's degree in Arabic, I began my career in the social sector by undertaking civil service in a community for unaccompanied foreign minors, followed by a role as a cultural mediator in Arabic. My increasing interest in grassroots politics led me to manage a social service center for two years. Meanwhile, I alternated between roles as an Italian language operator for foreign children and as a trade unionist. Then, my journey brought me to Glocal Factory, where I mainly focus on project implementation. Through my work and activism, I try to provide support to people in need within society.

I am a boy (an adult one) who has not yet stopped dreaming and playing, with words in particular. Since I was a child I have always had a strong vocation for writing and reading. I loved writing, I loved reading and I still love all this, even more. Now I am aware of the value and weight of words. Books are volcanoes of knowledge as well as excellent travel companions. Texts are made of words, and these accompany you in the life of those who wrote them. That’s why I find my Freedom in writing, because I can be a thousand different people. The same is true in my work as a copywriter and as social media manager, telling different stories and projects every day.

My motto:

You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop

I earned a Master in Psychology from Padua University, specialising in gender studies and working at an anti-violence centre. Now, I assist the unemployed in developing "soft skills" and finding new jobs. I believe projects are vital for understanding and enhancing human relationships and cultural awareness.

After graduating from high school, I worked for eight years in the metal sector. During that time, I approached the Third Sector, motivated by the desire to contribute to a fairer and more solidarity-based society, where common welfare and environmental sustainability are the priority. Over the years, I have acquired new skills, relationships and awareness, gained in the realities of the Third Sector in Verona. In Glocal Factory I am Administrative Manager and participate in the expansion of local networks, to actively contribute to the wellbeing of the local community and the promotion of the ethical and socially responsible values I believe in.
